WHO – Who qualifies for free tax preparation at Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites? 

  • People who qualify for free tax help include (but not limited to): 
    • Low to moderate income individuals (people who generally make $60,000 or less) 
    • Persons with disabilities; and 
    • Limited English-speaking taxpayers 

WHEN – When can I receive free tax assistance at VITA sites?

  • Most VITA sites are open during the tax season and some are open year-round. The operating hours and services offered vary at each VITA site. 
  • PIM Savvy will open our Renton VITA site on January 23rd, 2024 and our Everett VITA site on February 12th, 2024. Additionally during the 2024 tax season, we will have FREE tax prep events in Kent, Seattle and Mukilteo.

If you have questions about VITA eligibility or need help booking an appointment for FREE tax prep at one of our VITA events, contact us today! In partnership with the Washington State Department of Revenue, we are here to help you. These services are FREE to eligible taxpayers.
