Washington Worker Safety

Free Assistance Program

These free services are designed to help businesses in Washington state understand L&I information and compliance requirements, and learn how to use the many tools and resources available from L&I.

PIM Savvy and L&I

PIM Savvy is partnering with the Adult Family Home Council (AFHC) of Washington State and the Long-Term Care Foundation (LTCF) of Washington State to evaluate and revise the Adult Family Home Worker Safety Awareness Program e-Course and to create educational materials for Infection Control and the Respiratory Protection Plan for Adult Family Homes. Funding and support for this project has been provided by the Safety & Health Investment Projects (SHIP) program.

SHIP is a grant program under the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) within the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I). SHIP funds ideas that prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and fatalities, and projects for developing and implementing an effective and innovative Return-to-Work (RTW) program for injured workers. To date, the program has funded over 130+ grant projects.

From 2021 – 2023, PIM Savvy partnered with L&I to provide free outreach and education-oriented products and services related to workplace health and safety requirements. During this project, PIM Savvy supported numerous small businesses with L&I-approved safety guidance, educational content, and resources. As a result, we developed a strong understanding of Washington State safety, health, and labor regulations.

Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) is committed to helping Washington employers keep their workers safe on the job. Washington regulations cover worker safety and health, workers’ compensation insurance, wage and hour requirements, construction-related licensing and registration, and other worker and consumer protection programs. L&I’s mission is to “Keep Washington Safe and Working.”
